Terms of Service
Last updated: August 27, 2026
1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms govern access to the Blurred Encounters website, waitlist, memberships, profiles, lounges, messaging, voice, blurred video, and related services. By using the service, you agree to these Terms and the linked policies. Do not use the service if you do not agree.
2. Adults Only
You must be at least 18 years old and have reached the legal age of majority where you live. You may not create an account for a minor, allow a minor to use your account, or misrepresent anyone's age.
3. Purpose and Online-Only Rule
Blurred Encounters is intended for private, online-only adult conversation, fantasy-based interaction, emotional connection, voice, and blurred video.
It is not an escort service, prostitution service, trafficking platform, or marketplace for sexual services. Users may not arrange sexual meetups, exchange precise locations for sexual purposes, or pressure another person to move communication off-platform.
4. Relationship Boundaries
The service does not decide what is acceptable within a marriage or relationship. Each user is responsible for understanding and honoring their own agreements, commitments, and boundaries. Blurred Encounters does not promise that use will prevent relationship conflict or be considered non-cheating by a partner.
5. Accounts and Aliases
You may use an alias publicly, but you may not impersonate another person, hide illegal conduct, evade enforcement, or provide false age-verification or payment information. You are responsible for securing your login information and account activity.
6. Consent
- Consent must be voluntary, informed, specific, mutual, and ongoing.
- Silence, prior consent, or a past interaction is not current consent.
- Consent may be withdrawn at any time.
- If a user says stop, disconnects, blocks, leaves, or becomes unresponsive, contact must stop.
- Coercion, manipulation, threats, blackmail, shame, or pressure are prohibited.
7. Prohibited Conduct
- Illegal activity, fraud, scams, phishing, malware, spam, or account theft.
- Harassment, stalking, threats, hate, doxxing, intimidation, or repeated unwanted contact.
- Sexual content involving minors or anyone presented as a minor.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery, revenge content, hidden recording, or extortion.
- Trafficking, prostitution, escorting, paid sexual services, or arranging physical encounters.
- Content involving coercion, sexual violence, incest, bestiality, or unlawful exploitation.
- Recording, screenshotting, or distributing another user's interaction without express permission.
- Attempting to disable or bypass blur, age checks, safety controls, moderation, or security.
- Creating new accounts to evade a suspension or permanent ban.
8. Blur and Anonymity Limitations
Face blurring is intended to reduce identification but cannot guarantee anonymity. A voice, tattoo, scar, room, clothing, location clue, screen name, or personal statement may reveal identity. Do not display identification documents, financial details, addresses, license plates, children, or other sensitive information.
9. User Content
You retain ownership of lawful content you submit. You grant Blurred Encounters a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, display, moderate, and store that content as needed to operate, secure, improve, and enforce the service.
You represent that you have the legal right and required consent to submit the content. Uploaded explicit recordings may remain disabled unless separate verification, consent, recordkeeping, and legal controls are implemented.
10. Moderation and Enforcement
Blurred Encounters may investigate reports, review relevant account activity, remove content, limit features, end sessions, require verification, suspend or ban accounts, preserve evidence, and report suspected illegal conduct. Immediate action may occur without advance warning when safety, fraud, legal, or security risks are present.
11. Payments and Renewals
Paid features, prices, billing periods, taxes, renewal terms, and cancellation methods will be shown before purchase. Recurring memberships may renew until canceled when clearly disclosed at checkout. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically create a refund for a billing period already started, except where required by law or stated in the Payments and Refunds Policy.
12. Beta and Early Access
Waitlist, prototype, beta, and early-access features may be incomplete, changed, paused, or discontinued. Participation does not guarantee that a proposed feature will launch or remain available.
13. Intellectual Property
The Blurred Encounters name, logo, visual design, software, page layout, original text, membership names, lounge names, and platform materials are owned by or licensed to Blurred Encounters. You may not copy, sell, scrape, reverse-engineer, or commercially exploit them without written permission.
14. Third-Party Services
Hosting, analytics, email, age verification, moderation, payments, security, or communications may be provided by third parties with their own terms and privacy policies. Blurred Encounters is not responsible for third-party outages, policies, or unauthorized conduct.
15. No Guarantee of Results
We do not guarantee matches, conversations, responses, emotional satisfaction, relationship improvement, fantasy fulfillment, safety from every user, or any particular result.
16. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, perfect moderation, complete anonymity, error-free operation, or compatibility with every device. The service is not medical, legal, financial, mental-health, relationship, or emergency advice.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Blurred Encounters and its owners, operators, contractors, and providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages related to use of the service, user misconduct, unauthorized recording, identity exposure, lost data, relationship conflict, or service interruption.
Where liability cannot be excluded, total liability is limited to the greater of the amount paid to Blurred Encounters during the six months before the event or fifty U.S. dollars, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
18. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Blurred Encounters and its owners, operators, contractors, and providers from claims, losses, damages, and reasonable expenses arising from your misuse, content, violation of these Terms, or violation of another person's rights.
19. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access for policy violations, safety risks, fraud, failed verification, payment misuse, or legal and security concerns.
20. Changes
We may update the service and these Terms. The date at the top will be changed and additional notice will be provided for material changes when required. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance of the updated Terms.
21. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by Michigan law, except where mandatory consumer law applies. Before filing a claim, contact us and attempt an informal resolution for at least 30 days. A legal proceeding must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction unless applicable law gives you a different right.
22. General Provisions
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and incorporated policies form the agreement concerning the service.
